Cheapest places in los angeles live for a month?

I’m looking for a cheap place to live in LA for a month preferably one that is relatively close to the blue metro line. Either a hotel or hostel or whatever. Please help!

Check out hostelsusa.com or just Google "Los Angeles Hostels". There are a couple good hostels in Hollywood. Or check out couchsurfing.com.

Good luck!

The metro blue line goes thru some of the roughest neighborhoods (Watts, Compton, South Central, North Long Beach) in Los Angeles County. Riding the rail thru those areas is safe though.
I wouldn’t feel right recommending any place to stay along that rail line.

Muppet’s right on the mark. If you’re going to be here for a month, you’re going to pay through the nose. Maybe it’d be more feasible to just find an apartment that rents month to month, you’d probably save money.

If you do choose that option, try looking in south Long Beach, or Seal Beach, which aren’t far from the blue line.

The cheapest is Tio Antonio’s cardboard hotel.

Next is sleeping in your car.

Maybe you’ll get lucky and can find someone to rent you a room on Craigslist.

The Y still rents rooms, but it won’t be much cheaper than a motel.
